Ability Awareness Day

We had a great day learning about people with all different abilities. We had an assembly and learned about the Buddy Program. (More information on this program will come home to tomorrow.) We had a presentation from representatives from Paraquad who taught us the importance of living with independence when you have a disability. Linda Baker from the Center for Speech and Hearing talked to us about living with hearing loss. Finally, we learned about Therapeutic Horsemanship and its benefits for people of all ages with or without disabilities. We discussed what we learned and wrote about it too. What an amazing day!

iPad cart

Everyone was excited to use their own iPad in the classroom. Sappington now has a cart with 25 iPads that classes can check out. They were very useful in helping us do research for our business plans! Students have come up with some great ideas for our economics unit. We are looking forward to following through with our business plans and sharing them with you.

We're 100 Days Smarter!

We celebrated the 100th day of school on Friday, Jan 25. We had a 100 snack and played some games. I hope everyone enjoyed the day! I know I have enjoyed working and learning with this class these last 100 days!
