Author visit and our idioms!

We enjoyed our author visit last week. It was a treat to meet a real author and hear her story. We learned a lot about idioms and here are a few we illustrated ourselves. For the Love of Pickle Juice!

Happy December!

Our class has been working hard and earning many rewards. Our reward tree is full. We are getting ready to switch over to snowflakes, although it feels like spring!

We have also been working hard on learning multiplication. Ask your student about the different ways to demonstrate multiplication. Here is a pic of some friends working on a visual clue in our classroom.

Another fun buddy day!

Our class visited our buddies in Mrs. Mertzluft's class Friday. We had a great time reading with them and making Thanksgiving turkeys and pilgrims!

Junior Achievement Day 2

We are having a great time learning about cities. In today's lesson we learned more about building and zoning. Check out our city so far! Miss Capilla is in the second picture with us.

Fun Art Work + Updates!

Our class did an awesome job on their art projects! I thought they looked great all together!

Our Junior Achievement volunteer started a  program called "Our City" on Thursday in our classroom. It studies careers, skills people need to work in specific careers, and how businesses contribute to a city.  This program will continue on Thursdays for the next 5 weeks.

Bubble Gum Trial!

We had a great day Wednesday downtown. Our class loved participating in the Old Courthouse's Bubble Gum Trial. Our jury found our defendant guilty - poor Ana! Here are some pics of court process in action.
